Thank you to those residents who contacted me regarding the unsafe state of the footpath under the Centenary Motorway & along Springfield Greenbank Arterial (SGA).
The Department of Transport and Main Roads (Queensland) will be undertaking some works to improve drainage and rehabilitate the batter slope which will prevent further sediment run-off and silt.
These works will be undertaken between 7pm and 5am from early June 2021 to mid July 2021 (exc. Sat night/Sun mornings) and will include:
Installation of drainage pipes, pits, end structures and rock mattresses Slope correction on the batter. Footpath correction. Preapproved vegetation clearing including 13 trees & revegetation Protection and retention of a Queensland Blue Gum
