The Department of Transport and Main Roads (TMR) would like to advise that minor repair works will be undertaken on the pedestrian bridge at Springfield station.

These works will commence in late May 2020 and be completed by late June 2020, construction and weather conditions permitting.

Standard construction hours will be undertaken from 7pm until 5am, Sunday to Thursday.
These works will include:
• installation of tension rods
• minor paint repair
• changed traffic conditions on Centenary Highway including reduced speed limits and lane closures

Expected impacts:
• Pedestrian access will be maintained throughout the works.
• Nearby residents and businesses may experience short term impacts including light and noise from construction equipment and activities on site.
• Machinery and materials may be stored on the road reserve near the site while these works are undertaken.
• There will be changed traffic conditions on the Centenary Highway including reduced speed limits and lane closures.
• Traffic control and signage will be in place as required. Please allow extra time when planning your travel.

TMR appreciates your patience while these important works are being carried out and will make every effort to minimise disruptions throughout the duration of this project.
