BREAKING: Some border restrictions will ease after Queensland hit 70% double dosed earlier than planned.
From 5pm today, fully vaccinated returning residents and interstate travellers can apply for their new border pass which will allow them to fly into Queensland from a hotspot.
To travel here, you must return a negative COVID-19 test within the previous 72 hours, have a valid border pass and must complete 14 days of home quarantine.
People will be able to quarantine at a self-contained dwelling, as long as it has no shared common areas that are accessible by people outside the household.
This morning, emails will be issued to anyone already in the queue, asking them to complete their online application and upload their vaccination certificate before border passes will be issued.
