There is legislation not been passed in the Qld Parliament that would ensure fuel retailers cannot increase their prices by more than 5 cents per day, and that any increases would need to be advertised by 2pm the day before. forms.fight4qld.com/form-6931385/affordable-transport

These amazing young people have been selected to represent Australia in the 'Adaptive Abilities' category at the ICU World Cheerleading Championships next month... in Orland, USA π€―π€© Among these athletes is the lovely Claire from #Springfield!
The Madeline Stuart Dance Company has helped to train these incredible people living with disability to perform on the world stage, and as a small charity are currently also working to help the dancers cover the associated costs of international travel.
I was so delighted to be able to assist in a small way, and if there is anyone else who might like to help with a contribution, please reach out and I would be happy to connect you with the team π₯³

I am truly saddened about the closure of AEIOU Foundation for Children with Autism who have been a presence in our #Camira community since 2012.
AEIOU has supported so many local families and I know there will be many current families devastated and concerned by the closure and what this means for their children.
I have written to the appointed liquidators to find out what is likely to happen with the redeveloped centre that was meant to open in Camira mid this year.
I'm also concerned for the dedicated staff who have lost their jobs as a result of the closures and I hope they will all be okay.
If you are a local family who has been impacted by the closure and you need further assistance, please reach out to me - jordan@parliament.qld.gov.au ... See MoreSee Less

The impact of this goes further than the centre staff and families who I feel for - my husband’s small business has provided ongoing services to the Camira AEIOU for many years and as a result of the sudden closure and liquidation he is left with outstanding invoices with no assurance he will be paid for the most recent work he has completed.
