With Stage 1 of the #ipswich Bus Improvement roll-out, Translink made some changes to existing routes 524, 525 and 526.
Unfortunately, these were not communicated very well by Translink ☹️ and I wish to thank those who reached out to me concerned that the 526 bus service was cancelled.
This service is definitely continuing though the route has slightly altered and you can find details here: jp.translink.com.au/plan-your-journey/timetables/bus/t/526
Translink has also added additional stops in #brookwater and the bus stop infrastructure (signage, tactile ground surface indicators) is now in place.
A reminder that there are more bus services coming in Stage 2 and 3 of the #ipswich Bus Improvement Program over the next two years - including more services for #springmountain and #Springfield.
If you live in the #jordan Electorate, please reach out via phone: 3447 9300 or email: jordan@parliament.qld.gov.au if you have any further queries about the new and revised services. ... See MoreSee Less

Thank you Charis Mullen. It is about conditions and safety in schools for students and staff. Salary increases are a small part of what we are fighting for. I had a chuckle at Mr C when he spoke about going to arbitration sooner. That comment proves how out of touch he is as the earliest arbitration can be started is 6 months from the end of our EB which is 30th December. The starting date then depends on how long it takes to get the arbitration team in place.

Thanks Charis Mullen MP it’s about conditions and having an education minister that understands the teaching profession is priority. Newman wanted teachers holiday pay and his minister then didn’t have a clue, it was our money accrued. Now Langbroek saying he negotiated but didn’t then offering what we already have just worded nicely to entice new teachers and graduates is insulting!
Attended a special dinner tonight hosted by the wonderful Zonta Ipswich Inc to mark the launch of the 2025 #16days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence. 🧡
This global campaign which begins on 25 November (also the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women) calls on our communities to stand together, raise awareness, and continue to take action to end violence against women and girls.

Whilst our local community needs no reminder, Suncorp have kindly gifted me a replica of a hail stone that hit #SpringfieldLakes on 31 October 2020.
Measuring 14.5cm, and recognised as one of the largest hails stones which was saved and used for important research.
Whilst I hope we never see these in our community again, it’s a timely reminder to make sure we are all prepared for whatever comes our way this season. ... See MoreSee Less

Not sure if this post aged like wine or milk 🤔
I remember holding one just like that in my hand as I stood on my driveway dumbstruck, looking at $200k worth of damage to my house and a destroyed car, wondering what the hell had just happened.
Lol, ones pretty close to that size hit lota and capalaba today
