Many residents have contacted me regarding ongoing issues with their insurance following the 31 October 2020 Hail Storm.

I’m pleased that the Insurance Council of Australia will now be hosting a community forum and two (2) separate one-on-one consultations in Springfield Lakes for local policyholders.

The community forum will provide general insurance guidance to property owners who have lodged or intend to lodge a claim.

The one-on-one consultations are an opportunity for policyholders to speak directly with their insurer about their individual claims.

Here are the dates:
Wednesday 3 March Community forum from 6pm
Thursday 4 March Policyholder consultations 10am to 8pm
Friday 5 March Policyholder consultations 10am to 6pm

All of these sessions will be held at the Springlake Hotel, 1 Springfield Lakes Blvd, Springfield Lakes

To ensure a CovidSAFE event, registration is ESSENTIAL for both the community forum and the individual sessions. You must be registered to attend.

I am currently in discussions with the Qld Residential Tenancies Authority (RTA) for a similar event for renters in our community who have been affected by the storms – details will follow shortly.
