Birdie’s Tree storybook series has been developed by Children’s Health Queensland through the Queensland Centre for Perinatal and Infant Mental Health.
They help families to talk about, prepare for, cope with and recover from natural disasters and other challenging events and include ‘Birdie & the Fire’, ‘Birdie & the Cyclone’ and ‘Birdie & the Flood’.
Following the ‘Halloween Hailstorms’ in 2020 – ‘Birdie & the Storm’ was developed and it was such a pleasure to have both the author, Andrea Baldwin (Andreabaldwinauthor) and illustrator (and local resident!) Anil Tortop at our ‘Breakfast in the Park’ on Saturday.
