Centenary Motorway, Springfield Guardrail Upgrade Works

The Department of Transport and Main Roads (TMR) would like to advise upcoming guardrail upgrade works on the Centenary Highway in both directions from Springfield Central Arterial Road to Springfield Parkway.

Timing:

  • These works are scheduled to start in late July and are expected to be completed by mid-August 2018, weather and construction conditions permitting
  • Work will be carried out at night from 7pm to 5am, Sunday to Thursday.

Work will include:

  • Guardrail upgrade works along the Centenary Highway in both directions from Springfield Central Arterial Road to Springfield Parkway.

Expected impacts:

  • Nearby residents and businesses will experience some temporary construction noise, dust and odour while works are completed.
  • Road users will also experience minor delays due to changed traffic conditions and detours while work is underway.

To ensure the safety of road workers and road users, traffic controllers and construction signage will be in place to advise the changed traffic conditions along the Centenary Motorway, Springfield Lakes and Springfield Central.

TMR will distribute notifications to nearby residents and businesses before work begins. This notification will include information on the work and the contact details for the Project Team.

For more information on this work, please contact the Project Team by emailing metropolitanregion@tmr.qld.gov.au or calling 3066 4338 during business hours.

For up-to-date information on road closures and traffic conditions across Queensland, go to www.qldtraffic.qld.gov.au or call 13 19 40.

TMR appreciates your patience while these important works are being carried out.

Kind regards,

The Project Team
