Too many people with a disability in our Jordan community are missing out on the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS).
Today, the Queensland Government launched the ‘Disability Connect and Outreach Program’ for Ipswich and Logan – where a special assessment and referral team will work directly with individuals to make it easier – including preparing and collecting documentation and, where required, arranging a specialised assessment.
This Program, which began in regional Queensland has already assisted 1,700 Queenslanders with a disability – including the homeless and children – to have their lives transformed through access to the NDIS.
It was great to catch up with the team from Queenslanders with Disability Network over the weekend to discuss what a massive difference this will make in our local communities.
