Hydrogen jobs are coming to the Jordan Electorate!

What an exciting morning for our region with the announcement that Australian energy technology company LAVO will be establishing a $15 million hydrogen fuel cell manufacturing facility in Greater Springfield.

It was a pleasure to join Treasurer & Minister for Investment and Trade, Cameron Dick MP and the Minister for Energy, Renewables and Hydrogen Mick de Brenni for Springwood at this morning’s announcement – which includes Qld Government support through our ‘Invested in Queensland’ Fund.

This project will generate 200 construction jobs and an ongoing 170 manufacturing jobs right here in Springfield – with the potential for even more. This facility is an Australian-first and could be one of the largest hydrogen fuel cell facilities in the southern hemisphere.
