We know high school enrolments are growing in Greater Springfield and the Palaszczuk Government has committed to building a new school to open in 2024.

After an exhaustive search for available land, the Queensland Department of Education has now purchased a significant site, not far from our very popular Springfield Central State High School…so we are going to do something DIFFERENT!

Today, the Minister for Education, Grace Grace MP along with Principal Anne Lawson, has announced that a brand new Springfield Central State High School Senior Campus for Years 10 – 12 is going to be built on the site – close to the University of Southern Queensland – Australia (Springfield) and TAFE Queensland – creating the ultimate Education & Vocational HUB.

The new Campus will be a ‘vertical’ school and Stage 1 will include:

๐Ÿ‘ฉโ€๐Ÿซ General and specialist learning areas;

๐Ÿ‘ฉโ€๐ŸŽค a new Performing Arts Centre;

โ›นโ€โ™‚ a new Multi-Purpose Sports Hall; and

๐ŸŒณ ample green space.

This is such an exciting opportunity for our region to lead in the future of education in Queensland – and I cannot wait to share more details with our community as planning and development gets underway.
